Samsung teases the user images Exynos chipset 5 Octa
A few days ago, Samsung has posted its latest twitter picture of development - an eight-chip Exynos 5 Octa. Of course, this is not a live picture, and 3D rendering, but, nevertheless, it has attracted a lot of attention. By the way, in the same tweet, and the South Korean company said about energy chipset.
Exynos 5 Octa uses to develop ARM big.LITTLE, which means the use of two separate processors on four cores each on a single chip. The group has big fast, powerful and CPU Cortex-A15, and the group LITTLE - saving core Cortex-A7. While one group is working, the other is idle and does not consume energy.
Samsung promises to reduce chip power consumption by 3.3 times due to the use of nuclei Cortex-A7, which occupy only 13% of the CPU on the Cortex-A15, and also very cheap to produce. Switching between groups of 30-50 milliseconds.
Meanwhile, the South Korean company is still not officially said what devices will work on its new chipset, and when they are released. Presumably, these will devaysa Galaxy S IV and Galaxy Note III, but for now it's just a rumor.
